About

This blog is for brand managers, marketing managers, designers, creative types, business owners and anyone involved or interested in branding and trade marks.

It provides information on trade marks law and process, tips on brand protection, reports on interesting cases and my various thoughts and opinions on branding and marketing.

About Victor Ng

I’m a Senior Associate with law firm, Logie-Smith Lanyon. I help clients of all shapes and sizes with their intellectual property, technology and general commercial matters.

I handle the firm’s trade mark files and so regularly advise clients on their branding, file and prosecute their trade mark applications and act for them in enforcing their intellectual property rights.

I enjoy a varied practice – today I could be assisting a startup with its establishment and initial commercial foray and tomorrow I might be acting for a multinational in contract negotiations with the Australian government.

Because I used to be an in-house lawyer (i.e. a client of law firms), I have a pretty good idea of how important it is to provide clear, concise and, above all, practical legal advice.

In my  spare time, I’m a Mac not a PC, a father of two and a very serious Tintin fan. I read The Age, listen to Elvis and will stay up to all hours to watch the Wallabies play.
